I Have Heel Pain! What Am I Doing Wrong?

If you've got heel pain that just won't go away, you've probably tried a few things already: new shoes, stretches, strapping, maybe even orthotics. And you might be wondering what you're doing wrong.

Often, the answer is that nothing you've tried has dealt with the underlying cause. In this short video, I explain three underlying causes of foot pain.

Why heel pain keeps coming back

Heel pain is normally due to plantar fasciitis, an inflammation of the tissue under the bottom of your foot. Strapping and orthotics can give temporary relief, but they don't fix what's causing the problem. Plantar fasciitis does not heal itself, and that's why the pain so often comes back.

Treat the cause, not just the pain

At Corrective Foot Solutions, we use an advanced hands-on assessment to find out why your heel hurts. Then we use Foot Mobilisation Therapy (FMT), a gentle, hands-on technique that guides the joints back into position, combined with specific exercises. It's a long-term approach that doesn't rely on orthotics.
