At her first appointment, Cheryl told us her bunions weren't painful, but she was nervous because they were getting worse.
Our hands-on joint assessment showed that Cheryl's feet were rolling in and putting extra load on her big toe joints. We referred her for an x-ray to assess the misalignment in the joints further.
Cheryl was surprised to hear we could help stop her bunions getting worse, and address the underlying cause so her big toes would straighten. We prescribed our bunion programme, which includes joint mobilisation, manipulation and at-home exercises.
Her bunions were misaligned at 26 and 29 degrees, which is moderate to advanced.
After a short three-month course of treatment, we followed up with another x-ray. You can clearly see her bunions have straightened significantly, to 9 and 18 degrees.
